Community Building

The Princeton Community Building is located at 106 N. Center Street and is a great place to have your next birthday party, family reunion, or special occasion. The building consists of two large rooms and a full kitchen. Each room can accommodate approximately 50 people. NOTE: WITH COVID RESTRICTIONS ONLY 25 MAX PEOPLE ALLOWED IN EACH ROOM.

At the discretion of the Town of Princeton, the Princeton Community Building can be made available to individuals, businesses, organizations, and groups within the Princeton community for meetings and gatherings. The Town has the authority to decline a request for the use of the building for events not deemed appropriate for a Town-owned building. Guidelines for renting the building as follows:

  1. A deposit in the amount of $100.00 must be paid to reserve the building for the specific date. From the deposit, $50.00 is the standard cleaning fee and is not refundable. The remaining deposit in the amount of $50.00 is refundable unless a) the property is not left in the condition it was found and/or b) the event is over capacity and is dispersed by an authority for the Town of Princeton (police, sheriff, employee, mayor or board member). A rental fee in the amount of $135.00 (front) / $110.00 (back) will be charged for the use of the Princeton Community Building. The rental fee is to be paid in full prior to the event. (NOTE: If renting both front and back, a deposit in the amount of $200.00 is due at the time of booking.) 
  2. Rental of the building, front or back, provides for use of the Princeton Community Building, the adjoining kitchen. and restrooms only. All other areas of the building are off-limits.
  3. Tables and chairs are designated for both the front and back areas. There are approximately 6 to 7 tables and 60 chairs. They are as-is and cannot be relocated between these areas. The inside capacity is 25 people for all gatherings. The Town of Princeton has the right to disburse any gathering that exceeds the capacity limit.
  4. No large signs or banners can be erected on the grounds or in the Princeton Community Building. No signs on the walls of the building or halls are permitted.
  5. The Town of Princeton is not responsible for set up, break down, or janitorial services. As the renter of the Princeton Community Building, you are required to set up, break down, clean up after each meeting or gathering.
  6. Renters will furnish all dishes, cooking utensils, clean up after each gathering (including but not limited to all garbage removed from the building and placed in the trash cans provided outside, counters, tables, chairs, floors, and all appliances and set back up as found).
  7. Renters using the Princeton Community Building will be held responsible for damages or missing equipment and will be charged accordingly. The Town of Princeton assumes no liability for personal injury or property damage.
  8. All meetings and gatherings must be orderly and adjourn by no later than 12:00 a.m. Excessive noise, loud noise, beer, alcohol, etc. are not permitted in the building or on the grounds.
