Princeton Golden Key Award

The Princeton Golden Key Award was created by the Princeton Board of Commissioners in 2010 to recognize citizens of Princeton and the surrounding area that have demonstrated a broad-based, continuing commitment to community service, public service, and/or significant charitable or philanthropic contributions of benefit to the community of Princeton.
 
The 2017 Golden Key Award was presented to Mr. George Carlisle. Mr. Carlisle is a pillar of the community and his activities and accomplishments are many. Mr. Carlisle has a family owned and operated grocery store, the Piggly Wiggly, he served on the Town Council, as well as serving as Mayor. Mr. Carlisle was on the Board of Directors for the Princeton Fire Department and the Princeton and Johnston County First Citizens Bank Board of Directors. Mr. George Carlisle embodies the spirit of community service and the Mayor and Board of Commissioners for the Town of Princeton are honored to Present the 2017 Golden Key Award to such a deserving citizen of our town.
 
Nominations for the 2023 Golden Key Award are now being accepted. If you know of a deserving citizen that you would like to receive the Golden Key award fill out the Golden Key Award pdf form and submit by September 30, 2023. The presentation will be held on November 6, 2023 at the monthly board meeting.
