Professional Background

Commissioner Robinson is currently employed by the Wilson County School System as a Restorative Justice Facilitator and Assistant Coach for the Boys Basketball Team.  In this position, he has the opportunity to reach out and touch young people who are in need of  a “hand-up.”  Since April 2015, he has served as the Sr. Pastor of Holly Hill church located in LaGrange, NC.  Under his leadership, the enrollment of the church has grown with a noticeable increase in the number of young people who have joined the church.  In addition, the church’s community outreach and involvement has significantly expanded via programs that include annual back to school back pack give away, and other programs that uplift men in the community.         

Political Background

While this is Commissioner Robinson’s first term serving as an appointed official, he has always been an advocate for his community.  Among other things, he has participated in get out to vote drives, has worked openly and tirelessly in support of others’ campaigns and openly advocates for ideologies that are important to his community.

Statement of Beliefs

Commissioner Robinson is passionate about working with the youth and about ensuring that Princeton is one of the best places in the state of NC for people of all ages to  live, grow and prosper.  He lives his belief that being good is not good enough, we should always strive to be the best at whatever we undertake. As a commissioner, he hopes to be able to make hands-on contributions to bettering his community and continue to live his life so that others will be the better for it.

Personal Background

Commissioner Robinson is married to the former Tenika Whitley from Princeton, NC and they have two sons, CJ and Khalyb.  He is the son of Robert E. Wilson of Cary, NC and Esther Robinson from Wilson, NC. He is a proud North Carolinian having been born and reared in Wilson, NC.  For nearly twenty (20) years, he has lived in Princeton, NC.  It is here in Princeton, where he chose to raise his family and be active in his neighborhood and in the community.  Among other civic contributions, he served on the Board of Directors for the Princeton Little League as the Chaplin, Director of Basketball and as the Head Football and Basketball Coach.
