Professional Background

Mayor Johnson worked in the lumber industry for sixteen years, beginning his career as a yard foreman with Georgia Pacific in Bowdens and finishing his lumber career as manager of the Goldsboro Coastal Lumber Company yard. He founded Johnson Construction Company in 1999 and has worked in the building and development industry ever since. Mayor Johnson is also a managing member of J&N Developers, LLC and J&N Real Estate Investments, LLC.

 

Political Background

Mayor Johnson has been the mayor of Princeton since 2023.

 

Statement of Beliefs

Princeton and Eastern Johnston County is a desired community to live.  Our attributes are our small town values, excellent public schools, and a community that is focused on improving our quality of life.  Princeton is practicing smart growth concepts which will attract new residents, commercial development, and lead to local employment opportunities.

 

Personal Background

Mayor Johnson is married to Carol Johnson and they have six adult children. Mayor Johnson and his wife are members of Princeton Baptist Church.
