PAYING YOUR BILL
Online Payments:
The Town of Princeton accepts online payments through Xpress-pay. You will need your account number, which is located on your utility bill. Click here to pay online. We will receive a copy of your payment receipt by email. If you are paying after your service has been disconnected for nonpayment, please call (919) 936-8171 to make sure your payment information has been received.
Phone Payments:
To pay your bill by telephone, call 1-866-954-1340. You will need your account number, which is located on your utility bill. We will receive a copy of your payment receipt by email. If you are paying after your service has been disconnected for nonpayment, please call (919) 936-8171 to make sure your payment information has been received.
Payment by Mail:
Payments may be sent to the following address. Please allow three (3) business days for mailing.
In Person at Town Hall:
Payments can be made with cash, check, money order, major credit card or Apple Pay in person at our office in Town Hall located at 503 Dr. Donnie Jones Blvd, Princeton, NC. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our office has a convenient drive-up drop box located on the left side of the building for cash, check or money order payments.
Payment by Bank Draft:
Payment of your utility account can by authorized through bank draft by completing the Bank Draft Authorization Form. To complete the setup, we will need a voided check from the account or a letter from your bank that includes the routing number and account number from which you wish to pay your utility bill. The exact amount due drafts on the due date, which is currently the 10th of the month. Should this date fall on a weekend or holiday, the draft occurs on the next business day.
Returned Payment Notice:
Please be advised that checks returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF) will be presented to your bank electronically up to two (2) times for collection along with the state allowable fee for each collection attempt. This means your check can be presented up to three (3) times for payment before being physically returned to the Town of Princeton. Attempts to collect returned checks received back in the office will have a $25 returned check fee attached. Failure to clear a returned check may result in the disconnection of water service along with additional fees for disconnection.
