Ray M. Floors Community Park

In early 2001, the Ray M. Floors family approached the Princeton Appearance Commission about donating land for a town park. On March 5, 2001, the Princeton Board of Commissioners accepted a land donation of nearly four acres from the Floors family for this purpose.  The Ray M. Floors Community Park is located at 116 Holts Pond Road.

The Ray M. Floors Community Park is designed to be passive in nature for use by both children and adults.  The site is adjacent to Johnston County Council on Aging’s Senior Center and the Johnston, Lee, Harnett Head Start locations in Princeton.  These facilities will be connected to the park by pedestrian access.  Elements of the park have been designed to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Ray M. Floors Community Park is open from sunrise to sunset for the public to enjoy playground equipment, separate toddler play area, picnic shelter, charcoal grills, restroom facilities, drinking fountains, 1/3 mile walking trail and two open play areas.
